POSITION:

OTTAWA, AVIONICS (SHOP), TECHNICIAN (TEMPORARY FULL TIME)

LOCATION: OTTAWA AVAILABLE: SEPTEMBER 5, 2006 UNTIL APPROXIMATELY APRIL 27, 2007

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:
  • Must have grade 12 education
  • Must have a general knowledge of electronics
  • A general knowledge of aircraft avionics/electrical systems would be an asset
  • A general knowledge of Transport Canada Regulations would be an asset
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a restricted airside pass
  • Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Pass in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interested candidates should be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Repair, overhaul and modify of aircraft components
  • Responsible to the applicable Supervisor, SCA holder for the assignment and performance of their work
  • Perform work to the appropriate maintenance manual utilizing approved methods and materials
  • Familiarize themselves with all procedures to follow for the maintenance or repairs to the aircraft and/or equipment they are requested to work on
  • Perform work on components as outlined by applicable Work Sheets, Forms, Work Orders, Special Bulletins and Procedures Manuals in conformity with accepted practices
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Other duties as required
